Elijah and Elisha: Carry On

After God comforts Elijah and restores him, God tells Elijah to move forward. However, he first is to anoint Elisha, who will accompany Elijah on the rest of the journey. Elijah needs Elisha to complete his mission; Elisha needs Elijah as a spiritual father. This gives us a picture of how the church is to move forward.
