Women

The women of Cornerstone are an important part of all that happens.  They teach most of our classes.  They are part of the praise and worship team.  They gather for intercessory prayer... and so much more.  There is much debate in our world about the equality or importance of women.  When we look at the Bible, which should be our first and only source, we find women involved throughout history, from Eve to Rahab to Ruth to Debra to Mary to Dorcas, etc.  The Holy Spirit gives us gifts according to His wisdom.  It is our responsibility to make room for those gifts.  We do expect that husband and wife be in agreement when either or both are involved in ministry. 

The women have an evening group that meets once a week.  It is a time of study, fellowship, laughter, and prayer.  (It is not meeting over the summer because of so many summer activities.)  We also have a women's Bible  study on Thursday's at noon.  On Sunday evening, several women meet for intercessory prayer.  (Though this is not exclusively for women, it has developed in that.)  In addition, we have a Wednesday Bible study for any who wish to come.
